Fritters of Milkweed flowers
INGREDIENTS
- 10 flower buds of milkweed blanched 2 times, drained and wiped dry
- 1 liter of vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup of flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix flour, salt and oil (1 teaspoon).
- Gradually add milk and egg yolks, stirring well until a smooth dough.
- Let stand 1 hour at room temperature.
- Heat oil to 360 °F.
- Coat the flower buds of dough, drain the excess and cook in hot oil until golden brown..
- Place on paper towels on a plate kept in a hot oven (225 ° F) until ready to serve.
