Glaucous rattlesnakeroot is successful in open humid places.Although general in Quebec, it seems uncommon.It blooms in late summer.There is a white flowered form which can be found only around the city of Longueuil.There is a hybrid between the Glaucous rattlesnakeroot and the Three-leaved rattlesnakeroot, but in some specific locations only, as these two species do not share the same habitat type.
