Territory:
Southern Quebec, abundant in the region of Quebec City, although less frequently it is sometimes found far north as the 49
th parallel.
Habitat:
Rich mixed forest, in the edge of woods and clearings.
Flowering:
In bloom late May until early July with following fruits persistent until October.
Similar:
Several plants of the same family looks like the Large false Solomon's seal: sessile-leaved and large-flowered bellwort, all plants of the genus Streptopus (pink, white and hybrid), hairy Solomon's Seal but especially the
Star-flowered false Solomon's seal (Maianthemum stellatum). The Large false Solomon's seal is distinguished by its large size, flower cluster like a feather, zigzagging stem and red areas on the stem in the axils of leaves.
