The Everlasting pea can climb, thanks to its tendrils, and sometime forms high inextricable natural hurdles of more than six feet high.
Introduced, the plant escaped from gardens where it was cultivated as ornamental plant.
Its stalks are winged.
It is a legume, its fruits, seedpods, contain seeds which immature (still green), look like sweet peas.
However the seeds (peas) are poisonous.
