Since 1999 the Harlequin blue flag is the floral emblem of Quebec, in addition, it is in bloom for the National Day, June 24.Although abundant, it is often hidden in ditches or on the banks of streams, hidden by the tall cattails.The flower of the Harlequin blue flag represents the cultural diversity of Quebec by the multitude of colors which it is adorned.
