It is found near inhabited places prefers partial shade and moist areas.

Territory:

Wherever man is established.

Habitat:

Lawns, roadsides, and sometimes in the underwoods, prefers partial shade and moist places, but adapted to almost any condition.

Flowering:

In bloom in May until the end of July.

Similar:

The Creeping bugleweed (Ajuga reptans) less common in Quebec, bigger size and higher bearing.
