The most common spring flowers in its environment (maple groves). The trout lily may form a spectacular vast carpet of yellow flowers with mottled leaves.
Territory:
In southern Quebec wherever there are maples, so until Témiscamingue northwest and Saguenay northeast.
Habitat:
Maple groves, in places not too dry or not too wet or not too steep.
Flowering:
In bloom in late April early May.
Similar:
In 2011 the White trout lily (Erythronium albidum), white flowers, was spotted near Montreal, apart from this the Trout lily is the only Erythronium present in Quebec.
