Marsh cinquefoil

Comarum palustre

This plant, through the years, was alternately, classified in the Comarum genus, the Potentilla genus and even with strawberries (Fragaria).

But no matter its Latin name, Marsh cinquefoil is especially unforgettable by various tints of pink / red which adorns its flower.

One of the very rare plants to produce a black dye.
