Distinguish by its rosette of bright green leaves , spatulate and toothed, topped with a rosette of tender green leaves in spring or umbel of flowers or fruits (bolls) in summer and fall.

Territory:

Everywhere, at least until Abitibi to the north, rare in Côte-Nord.

Habitat:

Forest dry areas.

Flowering:

In bloom in early July.

Similar:

The One-flowered wintergreen (Moneses uniflora) which has only one flower, with a rosette of leaves rather circular.
Spotted Wintergreen (Chimaphila maculata) that has not been seen in Quebec since 1992, has leaves with a white center and the flowers don't have a pink / red disk around the pistil.
