The Giesecke's bellflower flourishes in granitic rock and slope.
There are more than 15 species of Bellflower in Quebec but only 4 are natives including this one.
The Giesecke's bellflower is often confused with another bellflower: the Harebell, but the Harebell is not present in Quebec neither in Canada.
