The Pearly everlasting bears his name well, its cut flowers last very long and can persist on the plant in winter.
This native is dioecious: female flowers and male flowers are on different plants.
On the other hand, its generic Latin name: Anaphalis (glabrous) is inappropriate because the plant is pubescent (with fine hairs) on top and woolly at the bottom.
