Present in all Quebec.
White baneberry blooms in May and fruits appears in July.
We can find it in rich wood, maple groves, edges of rivers.
Easily identify when in fruits, with its greenish-brownish thin pedicels which carry red fruits.
The leaves of baneberry looks like those of maples trees.

Similar :

Very difficult to differentiate from the White baneberry, both have white flowers, but the floral cluster of Red baneberry is lower, almost spherical, and it blooms one week before the White baneberry.
There is a variety with white fruits (var. neglecta).
