In the Iliad, Homer tells us that the centaur Chiron taught Achilles, wounded at is heel at the battle grounds of Troy, to use Yarrow to cure himself
Achilles is said to have used it to stop the bleeding wounds of his soldiers..
Specific :
"millefolium" = thousand leaves
The leaves, finely cut give the impression to be countless.
Vernacular :
"Herbe à dindes", "Herbe à dindons" = Turkey herb
In Quebec the Common Yarrow was once use to feed the turkeys.
